Kapp Niles will display its ZE 800 profle gear grinder.
The ZE 800 is
capable of grinding
25-module
external gears and
is equipped for
internal grinding
using either cubic
boron nitride
(cBN) or dressable
wheels. Software
features enable
hob and worm
grinding.
The company will also feature R&P; Metrology's PM
750/1250 portable gear checker/CMM offering dual
functionality for use in the lab or on the production foor.

CMM to Measure Large Gears

Zeiss Industrial Metrology's Contura CMM is available
with four larger measuring ranges, ranging from 900
× 1,200 × 800 mm to 1,200 × 2,400 × 1,000 mm. The
extra measuring volume in all axes provides greater
measuring capability for large gears with sensor options
such as the Vast XTR Gold. Navigator technology and the
company's Calypso software enable faster measurement,
increasing throughput.
The AirSaver option
can also be used for
cost savings, reducing
compressed air
consumption by as
much as 60 percent, the
company says.
